A vast ruined castle rises from the landscape, its broken walls and remaining structures softened by time and memory. Once formidable, the fortress now stands partially reclaimed by nature, where trees and grasses weave gently through the remnants of stone. The air around it feels hushed, as though the past still lingers quietly within its fading outlines.

Painted in a loose and impressionistic watercolour style, this work embraces softness and atmosphere over detail. Pastel tones dissolve edges and forms, allowing the ruins to emerge like a memory rather than a fixed structure. Misty light and delicate colour washes create a sense of distance and time passed, evoking the quiet poetry of decay and the lingering presence of history in the landscape.
