Original Watercolour Painting by Robert Mee
A quiet softness settles over the grand Haussmann avenues as a gentle downpour falls upon Paris. Soft neutral washes of slate, grey, and dusty violet veil the tall city facades, while glowing headlights and rich crimson undertones bleed gently into wet pavements. Figures blend seamlessly into blurred shadows beneath towering stone buildings, capturing the introspective calm that descends on the French capital in the rain. Rendered with fluid watercolor technique and delicate light-and-dark contrasts, this painting offers a romantic, moody glimpse into timeless Parisian life.
